Evrima team is led by principals and partners Sarah Glacel and Aylin Talgar Pietz.

Combined, they have decades of on-the-ground research experience in more than 100 countries, often in challenging environments and with difficult-to-access populations. This experience allows them to manage entire research and evaluation processes, from designing theories of change and research instruments, to working with fieldwork partners, to analyzing data and presenting program recommendations, all while building capacity and promoting cultures of learning for all stakeholders. 

Aylin Talgar Pietz

Aylin Talgar Pietz has directed evaluative quantitative and qualitative research to support democracy, media and human rights programming globally for two decades. She is an expert in supporting program implementers to use evidence to inform decision-making to ensure interventions are effective and impactful. Her years conducting fieldwork in the Middle East, sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia provide her deep technical and practical experience. She is an experienced methodologist and curious researcher, focused on translating complex statistical findings into actionable recommendations to transform programs worldwide. Aylin is fluent in Turkish and proficient in French.

Sarah Glacel

Sarah Glacel is a thought leader in audience research, having led international media studies for almost two decades as well as in opinion polling, particularly for public diplomacy efforts worldwide. She serves as a lead consultant on design and methodology as a research director for US government clients. An expert in the former Soviet Union, having lived and worked throughout the region, she also specializes in implementing complex multi-country surveys. Sarah is a quantitative research specialist, ensuring the most rigorous and exacting standards for all Evrima’s survey data and analysis, and also has extensive experience in qualitative research, including incorporating innovative digital research approaches. Sarah is fluent in Russian.
